Zelda Y. Rocke Obituary (1932

FLANAGAN- Zelda Y. Rocke, 92, of Flanagan passed away on Saturday, August 23, 2025, at Goldwater Care in Pontiac. Visitation will be on Thursday, August 28, from 1:00 P.M. to 2:00 P.M. at Calvert & Johnson Memorial Home in Flanagan with funeral service following at 2:00 P.M. at the funeral home with Rev. Ben Blobaum officiating. Burial will be in Center Cemetery, Flanagan. Zelda was born in Flanagan on September 12, 1932, a daughter to John and Minnie (Park) Hinrichs Lyons who both preceded her in death. She married R. Jerome Rocke in Flanagan on October 19, 1952. He preceded her in death in 2016. Surviving are her children, Debbie (Darrell) Bennett, Covington, VA, Brent (Nancy) Rocke, Frankfort, KY, Bethine (Don) Gasper, Carmel, IN; 7 grandchildren, Lauren (Eric), Kristen, Emily, Jacquline (Vasileios), Jacob (Sara), Allison, Jennifer; and 3 great-granddaughters, Zoe, Anna Kate, and Georgia Quinn. Zelda enjoyed homemaking, especially cooking and baking, flower gardening, and sewing. She was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Flanagan where she was active for many years in Sunday School teaching, the prayer chain, and assisting with funeral receptions.
