Yvonne C. Hallock Obituary (1953

Yvonne C. Hallock, age 71, of Pontiac, passed away at 7:02 a.m. on Tuesday, October 15, 2024, at Goldwater Care in Pontiac, IL. Her funeral service will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Friday, October 18, 2024, at Calvert and Martin Funeral Home, with Pastor Ginger Harris officiating. A visitation will be held prior to the time of her service, starting at 11:00 a.m. until the time of her service, also at the funeral home. Burial will follow at South Side Cemetery, Pontiac. Memorials in Yvonne’s memory may be made to Ruby’s Rescue and Retreat. Calvert and Martin Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Yvonne was born on January 10, in DuQuoin, IL, to Andrew and Liselottie (Klopp) Smith. She married Steven Hallock on September 4, 1971, in Pontiac, IL. He preceded her in death on February 8, 2010. Survivors include her children: Kristi (Richie) Lindstrom of Pontiac, Kelly (Travis Smith) Burns of Pontiac, and Steven (Stacey) Hallock of Pontiac; six grandchildren: Taylor, Rhianon, Paige, Andrew, Emma, and Jackson; and one great-grandchild: Beckham. She is preceded in death by her parents and her loving husband. Yvonne graduated from Pontiac High School in 1971. After high school, she earned her associate degree. She worked for the Illinois Department of Employment Security. She then was able to enjoy being a stay-at-home mom. Yvonne enjoyed photography, sewing, gardening, quilting, and traveling. She especially loved her role as Mom and Nana. She was the best wife, mother, and Nana to her family, and she loved them dearly with her whole heart. She will truly be missed by all that knew and loved her. The family would like the thank OSF Hospice and Goldwater Care Pontiac for their support and care.
