William H. Tosh

William H. Tosh, 69, of Bloomington, passed away on Tuesday, December 18, 2018 at his home.

A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, January 5, 2019 at Evergreen Cemetery, Bloomington. Cremation rites have been accorded by Carmody-Flynn Funeral Home, Bloomington.

He was born November 25, 1949 in Bloomington, son of George and Ethel Phillips Tosh. He married Jane Glasscock Forrest on July 22, 1978.

Surviving are his wife, Jane, of Bloomington; his son, Noah Tosh of Bloomington; his daughter, Juliet (Mark) Trifilio of Normal and his step-son, Jonathan Forrest of Bloomington, whom he helped raise. Also surviving are three grandchildren, River and Luna Trifilio and Justin Forrest and five brothers, Bob Tosh of NJ, Harold Tosh of KY, Ronald Tosh of AZ, Charlie Tosh of FL and David Tosh of Normal.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister and two brothers.

He was a United States Marine Corps veteran.

William worked as a mechanic at Barker Oldsmobile in Bloomington and retired in 2014.

He was an avid Chicago Bears fan and enjoyed watching Dale Earnhardt Jr and NASCAR.
