William B. Bill Schweizer

William B. "Bill" Schweizer, 79, of Cornell, passed away February 16, 2018 at Good Samaritan Hospital in West Palm Beach, FL.
His service will be Saturday, March 10, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Pontiac Bible Church in Pontiac with Pastor Jarrod Bartholomew officiating. Cremation rites have been accorded.
Visitation will be Friday, March 9, 2018 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the church.
Duffy-Baier-Snedecor Funeral Home, Pontiac, is in charge of arrangements.
Bill was born May 10, 1938 in Berwyn, IL to Chester G. and Frances (Sedivy) Schweizer. He married Kathryn Wagner on June 18, 1960 in Riverside, IL. She survives in Cornell, IL.
Also surviving are his children, Jeff W. (Dr. Heather) Schweizer of Fairbury, IL, Todd Schweizer of Thailand, Laura L. (John) Trainor of Cornell, IL, Amy (Jamie) Vitton of Drury, MO, and Jon D. Schweizer of Marseilles, IL; grandchildren, Ben (Autumn) Schweizer, Kate (Kaitlyn) Schweizer, Dan (Abby) Schweizer, Sam Herr, Eric Schweizer, Aaron Herr, Sibelle Schweizer, Jordann Trainor, John Trainor, James Trainor, Ezekiel Vitton, Seleh Vitton, Hadassah Vitton, and Isaac Vitton; and great grandchildren, Cole Schweizer, Blake Schweizer, Luke Schweizer, Anthony Schweizer, and Malcom Schweizer.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Bill was a graduate of J. Sterling Morton East High School in Cicero, IL. He then attended Beloit University, the University of Chicago, and the University of Illinois, receiving his CPA Degree. He worked as an Edward D. Jones Investment Broker in Pontiac, IL from 1977 to 2003.
Bill was a member of Pontiac Bible Church in Pontiac, IL. He was a Boy Scout, a member of the Pontiac Elks, and was a Rotary Club member for 48 years. He was active with Lifesong for Orphans since 2008.
