William Rosco Cooper, Jr. Obituary (1958

William Rosco Cooper, Jr., 65, of Pontiac, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, February 22, 2024, 2:37 p.m. at St. Anthony’s Hospital in Rockford. His visitation will be on Wednesday, February 28, 2024, from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. with a time of sharing at 6:00 p.m. at the Duffy-Baier-Snedecor Funeral Home in Pontiac. Duffy-Baier-Snedecor Funeral Home of Pontiac is in charge of arrangements. He was born on June 12, 1958, in Anna, Illinois to William Rosco (Paula) Cooper, Sr. and Gloria Ann (Robert) (Lingle) Schick. He remarried Carol Ann Schneider on December 26, 2014, in Pontiac. She survives in Pontiac. Surviving are his children, Billyjoe Roscoe Cooper of Flanagan, Jennifer Lynn (Mizael) Gordillo of Round Lake Park, Natally Ann (Joshua) Fisher of Stoughton, WI; stepson, Elwood Cody Wright of Yorkville; step-mother, Paula Cooper of Lagrange, GA; brother, Harold Lee Cooper of Blairsville, GA, Virgil Leroy (Jean) Cooper of Humboldt, TN, William Andrew Cooper of MS; stepsister, Denevia (Matt) Pyles of Lagrange, GA; seven grandchildren; one great grandchild; many nieces, nephews, and bonus son, Jeremy Michael Allen of Pontiac. He was preceded in death by his parents and stepfather, Robert Schick. He was educated at Yorkville School. Owner and operator of BBB’s used Furniture in Pontiac. He helped build many handicap ramps throughout Livingston County for the past 10 years. He worked at Life Center for independent living and was an advocate for handicap and disabled individuals. He was always willing to chat or help anyone in need. He loved tinkering around in his garage. Memorials may be made to the family.
