William Leo Real Obituary (1942

Henry: William Leo Real, 83, of Henry, passed away Friday October 31, 2025, 9:18 pm at OSF St. Francis Medical Center, Peoria. Cremation rites have been accorded. A memorial visitation will be held Friday November 7, 2025, from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at Calvert & Johnson Memorial Home, Henry. The Rosary will be recited at 4:30pm. Mass of Chrisitan Burial will be held Saturday, 11:00 am at Mary’s Catholic Church, Henry. Fr. Michael Pica will officiate. Burial will follow at St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Henry. Memorials may be directed to the American Cancer Society. Bill was born on September 3, 1942, to Leo and Dorene (Shipp) Real. He married Karol Lopeman on July 14, 1962, at St. Jospeh’s Catholic Church, Henry. She survives. Also surviving are his children, Thomas (Patti) Real, Gregory (Tammy) Real and Patrick Real, all of Henry, his grandchildren, Allison and Jimmy Real, Brooke Parker, Ashley Heaton, Cody Heaton, Shawn Roberts, Joe Roberts, two great grandchildren, Josie Kempf and Linden Roberts, his siblings, Mary (The late Bill) Stowe, of Oneida, Jim Real, of Henry, John (Paula) Real, of Hennepin, Peggy (Tim) Snowden, of Putnam, and Carol Sue Real, of Wyanet. His parents, one son Ronald Real, an infant daughter, one brother, Tom Real and a grandson Bailey Real preceded him in death. Bill was a member of St. Mary’s Church, and its Knights of Columbus. He retired from Caterpillar Tractor Company after 32 years, working at the Mossville plant. He loved watching his favorite Packers Football team, Also was a Bears fan! Spending time with his boys and the family meant so much to him! Always had a smile on his face! Bill and Karol loved to be part of their grandchildren’s activities, and they loved to dance.
