Wendell Lindsey

Wendell Lindsey, 73, of Tower Hill died Friday, October 31, 2014 in his home.
He was born February 28, 1941 in Hulbert, Michigan, to Ernest Elsie Ferguson Lindsey.
He was married to Mae Kirtpatrick who preceded him in death on February 27, 1996. He married Ethel Layette on September 20, 1996 in Marquette, Michigan.
Wendell was a member of New Hope Baptist Church. He liked to tinker with lawn mowers and to hunt, fish and to be outdoors. He loved animals. He had worked as a lumberjack.
He is survived by his wife, Ethel Lindsey, Tower Hill, son Ernie Lindsey, Ishpeming, MI, daughters; Lisa Perkins, Tower Hill, IL, Tasha Ellithorpe, Tower Hill, IL and step daughter Paula Spitzer, Mt. Zion, IL; 7 granddaughters, 3 great grandsons and 1 great granddaughter. He is also survived by brothers Robert Lindsey, Gladstone, MI, Tom Lindsey and Charles Lindsey of Newberry, MI and David Lindsey of Escanaba, MI and sister Edith Applekamp, Ewen, MI.
He was also preceded in death by his parents and 6 siblings.
Funeral Information

Visitation will be Tuesday, November 4, 2014 at New Hope Baptist Church from 11:00 a.m. until time of service. Funeral services will follow at 1:00 p.m. with Steve Markham officiating. Burial will be in New Hope Cemetery.
