Wayne "Dutch" R. Dohman Obituary (1946 - 2024)

Wayne R. “Dutch” Dohman 77 of Chatsworth, IL died Friday April 26, 2024 in Pontiac, IL. His funeral will be held on Saturday May 4, 2024 at 11:00am at St. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, Chatsworth, IL with Fr. William Keebler officiating. Burial will be in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Chatsworth, IL. A visitation will be held on Friday May 3, 2024 from 4:00-7:00pm at St. Peter & Paul Church in Chatsworth. Memorials in Dutch’s name may be made to St. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, Chatsworth Historical Society or Livingston County Humane Society. Calvert & Martin Funeral Home, Chatsworth is handling the arrangements. Dutch was born on September 29, 1946 in Fairbury, IL a son of Francis and Violet (Kemnetz) Dohman Sr. He married Connie Lee on July 7, 1978 in Chatsworth, IL. She survives in Chatsworth. Also surviving are two sons: Duston Dohman and Nicholas Dohman both of Chatsworth, IL; two granddaughters: Hallie Rednour and Sophia Dohman; one great-grandson: Dawson Heck; three sisters: Julie (Harold) Tilstra of Onarga, IL, twin sister: Elaine Dohman and Vicky Shell of Clifton, IL; mother-in-law: Virgina Lee. Dutch was preceded in death by one granddaughter: Gabrielle Dohman, father-in-law: Walt Lee; one brother and sister-in-law: Francis “Jr” and Alice Dohman; one brother-in-law: Bob Shell and a special friend of the family: Bill Walker Dutch was a graduate of St. Peter & Paul Grade School and graduated from Chatsworth High School in 1964. He then went on to attend the University of Illinois. He owned and operated Dohman Electronics in Chatsworth since 1986 and farmed his entire life in the Chatsworth area. Dutch loved sports coaching his two sons. He belonged to slow pitch softball team in Chatsworth for many years was commissioner of CAPS ball diamond in Chatsworth for several years.
