Wanda L. Bailey Obituary (1942

Wanda L. Bailey, 78, of Bloomington, passed away at 5:30 pm on Thursday, April 8, 2021 at Carle BroMenn Medical Center, Normal. There will be no services or visitation at this time. Per Wanda's wishes, she will be cremated. Carmody-Flynn Funeral Home, Bloomington, is assisting the family with arrangements. To express condolences online, please visit www.carmodyflynn.com. She was born May 2, 1942 in Peoria, daughter of Forrest and Opal Phillips Guinn. She married Robert M. Bailey on November 18, 1978, he preceded her in death on August 27, 2020. Surviving are two daughters, Mary Bailey of Bloomington and Terry Wills of TN; three step-sons, Robert M. Bailey Jr, Timothy Bailey and Gregory Bailey, all of California and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Also surviving is one brother, Donald (Sue) Guinn of Peoria. She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Kenny Smith; one daughter, Patricia Smith; one brother and one sister. Wanda provided day care in her own home for many years. She also loved being surrounded by children, which made her a wonderful foster mom to many. Wanda also kept busy with event and banquet planning for friends and special occasions. She enjoyed cooking and her family and friends will fondly remember how Wanda loved to take pictures of everyone while together.
