W. Warren Shaw

W. Warren Shaw, 72, of Mt. Zion, IL passed away on Friday, May 25, 2018 with his family by his side.
A service to celebrate and honor Warren's life will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, May 30, 2018 at Dawson & Wikoff Funeral Home, Mt. Zion. Visitation will be from 5:00-7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 29, 2018 at the funeral home. The family requests casual attire for his services. He will be laid to rest at Mt. Zion Township Cemetery. Memorials can be made to the Cancer Care Specialists of Illinois.
Warren was born on November 14, 1945 in Tuscola, IL the son of Raymond B. and Alice D. (Fasnacht) Shaw. He graduated from Mt. Zion High School. He married Nancy Gaither on October 9, 1964. Warren worked at Firestone as a Forklift Operator for over 35 years and he also enjoyed helping farmers in the fall. One of his favorite things to do was to spend time watching his granddaughter's softball games.
Surviving is his wife of 53 years, Nancy; two daughters: Crystal Gibson of Howey in the Hills, FL and Camille Bruner of Mt. Zion, IL; three grandchildren: Brooke Gibson of Urbana, Logan Bruner of Mt. Zion, IL and Ally Bruner of Mt. Zion, IL; brother: Willie (Donna) Shaw of Mt. Zion, IL; two sisters: Barbara Hodge of Mt. Zion, IL and Georgeina (Ron) Utterback of Decatur, IL.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brother: John Raymond and brother-in-law: Don Hodge.
