Virginia M. Cottrell

Virginia M. Cottrell, 93, of Pana died Wednesday, May 14, 2014 in Heritage Health, Pana.
She was born November 8, 1920 in Terre Haute, IN, the daughter of Fred Edna Severe Russell. She lived in the Pana-Shelbyville area until she married. She then traveled with her husband who was in the military. A housewife, Virginia enjoyed flowers and gardening, and had a wonderful sense of humor. She lived her life for her children as they meant everything to her. She was a member of Bible Baptist Church and was also a choir member.
She married Roy F. Cottrell he preceded her in death in 1979. She later married Claude LeClercq, who also preceded her in death.
Virginia is survived by her children: Frank Cottrell, Pana; John Cottrell wife Ann, Pana; Don Cottrell wife Mary, Pana; Sally Koontz husband Bruce, Pana; Mike Cottrell wife Audrey, Decatur; 13 grandchildren: Leanne, Crystal, Brian Roy, Rodney Dwaine, Jeffrey Scott, Jessica Ann, Mary Beth, Kathy, Mark, John, Christopher, Jeremy, Jenna; 12 great grandchildren; brothers: Carl Russell and Eldon "Buck" Russell both of Pana; and by her sisters: Shirley Coultas, Tower Hill; Elsie Baccadutre, Taylorville; and Rose Marie Russell, Mt. Vernon, IL.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands, 2 grandchildren: Matthew Cottrell and Jacob Daniel Koontz; and by several brothers and sisters.
