Virgil Ulrich Obituary (1951

Washburn: Virgil Ulrich, 73, cherished husband, daddy, Pop Pop, brother, uncle and “Hot Dog” passed away Friday evening October 4, 2024, at his home with his loving family at his side. Virg was born May 30, 1951, to David R. and Wilma (Kennell) Ulrich. Virg married Dottie Kizer on August 12, 1978. Dottie survives along with daughter Lori Anne, grandsons “Sammer” “Silly Willie” and “Monkey”. (Sam, Ben & Luke), sister Janice Ulrich, sister-in-law, Loretta Ulrich and cherished nieces and nephews. Virg’s death leaves a void in their lives, yet they will find comfort in the memories and everlasting love they shared. Also surviving are brothers-in-law, Darin (Yolanda) Kizer, Jeff Johnson, Leonard Kennell, Virg enjoyed camping, traveling, mowing his lawn and his Allis Chalmers tractors, shop time with Dale and camping with Cindy and family, many memories made at toy shows, tractor restoration and shows, campgrounds, unexpected travel adventures and family butchering. Virg was born in the same house where he passed, living all but 4 years of his life in the house. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Jim and sister Velda Kennell and sister-in-law, Tina Johnson. Per his wishes there will be no visitation and a private graveside service. Please join the family on Thursday October 10, 2024, for a luncheon and sharing memories of Virg’s life at the Varna Firehouse, Varna, IL from 12:30 pm to 4:00 pm.
