Verna (Chris) F. Brown, 80, passed away February 15, 2022, in Normal, IL. Verna was born September 1, 1941, to John & Helen (Lewis) O'Daniel in Bloomington, IL. She married Roy Brown Jr., who proceeded her in death. Verna is survived by daughters, Brenda Carlos (Toby III) Normal, IL, Karen (Avon) Cook, Decatur, IL, Brenda Merrifield, Springfield, IL, and Alicia Brown, Champaign, IL, and a son Roy (Natesha) Brown III of Southfield, MI. Her brother Myron O'Daniel (Susan), Heyworth, IL & sister Nancy Watkins (Charles) Shobonier, IL. Leaving behind 20 grandchildren & 27 great-grandchildren. Verna is also survived by her special friend Rosemary Newby, Champaign, IL. She was proceeded in death by her parents, a daughter Sheryl Howell, Rantoul, IL and a brother William O'Daniel (Rosemary), Galesburg, IL. Verna was employed as a Bus Ticket Agent for 36 years working in Champaign IL for Illini Swallow, Burlington Trailways & Greyhound, retiring at the age of 76 (2018).
