Valeria M. Teske

PONTIAC -- Valeria M. Teske, 86, Pontiac, died at 4:19 a.m. Tuesday (Feb. 22, 2011) at Asta Care Center of Pontiac.

Her funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the First Lutheran Church, Pontiac. The Rev. Dieter Punt will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, Pontiac. Visitation will be from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday at the church. Duffy-Baier-Snedecor Funeral Home, Pontiac, is in charge of arrangements. Memorials may be made to First Lutheran Church, Pontiac.

She was born June 16, 1924, in Milwaukee, Wis., daughter of Victor John and Johanna Barbain Wilker. She married Arden Teske on March 9, 1946. Later, they divorced.

She is survived by son, Mark (Pam) Teske, Fairbury; daughter, Leah (Ron) Hogan, Pontiac; 10 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; 10 stepgrandchildren; and seven stepgreat-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Victor Wilker Jr.; one sister, Dolores Dickinson; one daughter, Chloe Mae Lewis; one son, Loren Teske; one grandson, Roy Hogan; and one great-grandson, Rylee Nolan.

She was a member of First Lutheran Church in Pontiac. She baby-sat in the Pontiac area since 1985.

She had been secretary of Lamplighter Aid Association for Lutherans 3877.

She was educated in Humbolt Park Grade School and Girls Trade Technical High School, graduating in 1944.
