Timothy J. Sexton, 73 of Clinton, IL passed away 11:42 PM February 16, 2021 at his family home in Clinton, IL. Services will be 11 AM, Thursday, March 4, 2021 at Calvert Funeral Home, Clinton, IL with Pastor Darrell Howard officiating. Burial will follow at Crum Cemetery, Wapella, IL. Visitation will be 10 - 11 AM at the funeral home. Memorials may be directed to The Timothy J. Sexton Memorial Fund. Timothy was born December 24, 1947 in Taylorville, IL the son of Estel Hart and Helen M. (Jones) Sexton. He married Judith Lynn Hutmacher January 27, 1973 in Streator, IL. She passed away August 4, 2019. Survivors include his children, Matt Sexton, Clinton, IL; Chad Sexton, Wapella, IL; and Michelle Sexton; granddaughter, Halen Ann Marie Sexton, Clinton, IL; siblings, Toni (Joe) Hayes, Herrin, IL and Maryanne (Bob) Bauer, Brazil, IN. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Donald, George, Teddy, and Terry Sexton, and half-brothers, David and Mike Bennett. Timothy was a graduate of Taylorville High School and retired after 42 years with IBEW. He enjoyed fishing, mushroom hunting, and walking his dog at Weldon Springs.
