Tice Sharp Jr Obituary (1947

Tice Sharp Jr., 72, of Decatur, IL passed away at 10:31 p.m., Tuesday, September 24, 2019, in his residence. Services to celebrate Tice's life will begin with the family receiving friends for visitation Sunday Afternoon, September 29, 2019, from 2:00 pm until 4:00 p.m. at Dawson & Wikoff North Chapel. A funeral service will be held at 4:00 p.m. at the funeral home on Sunday. Burial will be Monday, September 30, 2019, at 10:00 am in Camp Butler National Cemetery with military honors provided by the Macon County Honor Guard and the US Marine Corps Honors Team. Tice was born January 26, 1947, in Decatur, the son of Tice and Esther (Litz) Sharp Sr. He served in the US Marine Corps and was a Vietnam War veteran. He retired as a licensed plumber having worked many years for Burn's Plumbing and Heating. He was a union member of the Plumbers and Pipefitters Locals #65 and #137. Tice married Kathy A. (Ward) Gillibrand in 2006. He was an avid golfer. Surviving are his wife: Kathy of Decatur; daughter: Tamara Day (Terry) of Springfield; step-son: Tony Gillibrand (Autumn) of Leroy, IL; step-daughters: Maggie Gillibrand (Jason) of Harristown, and Mandy Pollard (Adam) of Harristown; sister: Georgann Guidice (Romolo) of Oklahoma City, OK; grandchildren: Faith and Andrew Day; step-grandchildren: Brandon Crosse, Kaitelind and Kale Pollard and Brody and Hadley Gillibrand. Tice was preceded in death by his parents, son: Tice Sharp III, three brothers, two sisters, and his granddaughter: Marie Esther Day.
