Thomas "Tom" Edward Gaynor

Thomas “Tom” Edward Gaynor, 62 of Taylorville, IL passed away at 8:30 PM on Friday, November 21, 2014 at Decatur Memorial Hospital in Decatur, IL.  He was born January 2, 1952 in Springfield, IL son of Raymond Patrick Gaynor, Sr. and Beulah (Durbin) Gaynor. Tom enjoyed spending time with his friends and staff at the Christian County Mental Health Workshop.  He was vey artistic and especially enjoyed drawing.  He was a big fan of President Abraham Lincoln and Marilyn Monroe.  He was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Taylorville, IL.
He is survived by his Brother: Michael (Jean) Gaynor of Taylorville, IL; Sisters: Rita Ann Martin of Taylorville, IL and Beulah Dyer of Taylorville, IL and Several Nieces and Nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Brother: Raymond Patrick Gaynor, Jr. and Sister: Janette I. Matthews.
At his request, private family graveside services will be held at Fraley Cemetery in Taylorville, IL with Father Alan Hunter officiating.
Memorials may be made to the Christian County Mental Health, 707 Mc Adam Drive, Taylorville, IL 62568 and will be accepted by Sutton Memorial Home in Taylorville, which is in charge of arrangements.
