Thomas Jones

Thomas M. Jones, 82, of Pana passed away on Sunday, June 14, 2026 in his home. He was born July 22, 1943 in Decatur, IL to the late Thomas W. & Audie Alice (Harmon) Jones. Thomas married Cheryl Grzybinski. They had two daughters and later divorced.
Over the years, Thomas worked for Prairie Farms, Holland Dairy in Taylorville and International Paper. He also enjoyed helping out at the Jannink Conoco Station and was an avid St. Louis Cardinals baseball fan.
Thomas is survived by his daughters: Lesa (Bob) Wright, Moweaqua, IL & Amy (Tommy) Foster, Pana, IL; grandchildren: Michael Wright, Virginia, Samantha (Jason) Will, Moweaqua, IL & Bradley Wright, Benton, IL; great grandson, Xander Logsdon; sisters: Martha (Robert) Eller, Herrick, IL & Charlotte (Delbert) Thompson, Taylorville, IL and special friend, Dottie. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings: Charles Jones, James Jones, Kathy Ferguson & Phyllis Laker.
Funeral services for Thomas will be held on Thursday, June 18, 2026 in McCracken-Dean Funeral Home at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Ron Brown officiating. Burial will be in Linwood Cemetery, Pana. Visitation will be held Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until service time in the funeral home.
Memorials in Thomas’ honor may be made to the American Heart Association, Wounded Warrior Project or Wings for Life for Spinal Cord Research and will be accepted by McCracken-Dean Funeral Home who is assisting the family.
