Thomas Johnston

Thomas Johnston, 82, of Taylorville, formerly of Seattle, Washington passed away Friday, December 17, 2021 in Heritage Health--Pana. He was born September 12, 1939 in Butler, PA to the late Robert E. & Joyce (Thomas) Johnston. Thomas married Mary Johnston and she survives in Taylorville, IL.
Thomas worked as a mechanical engineer for over 30 years for the Boeing Company. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, gardening, especially tomatoes.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children: Susan (Bob) Schroeder, Tom (Terry) Johnston, Rob (Jessica) Johnston, all of Washington state; Cindie (Lonnie) Harris, Taylorville, IL; grandchildren: Jessica Schroeder, Evan (Sarah) Schroeder, Sam Johnston, Shelby Johnston, Rochelle Johnston, Denny Johnston, Brittnay (TJ) Gilstrap, Sophia Johnston, all of Washington, Danielle (Justin) Hall, Courtney (Devin) Scott, Rebecca (Dustin) Scott, all of Taylorville, IL and Brandon (Taylor) Harris, Indianapolis, IN; 15 great grandchildren; sister, Kathryn Weitzel; special friends, Mary Jean & Bud Blum and several nieces & nephews.
Per Thomas' wishes, cremation rites will be accorded and the family will host a service.
