Theresa M. Christopher, age 59, of Pontiac, IL, passed away at 7:33 p.m. on Tuesday, December 2, 2025, at OSF St. James-John W. Albrecht Medical Center in Pontiac, with her loving family by her side. Her visitation will be held on Monday, December 8, 2025, from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Duffy-Baier-Snedecor Funeral Home, located at 903 W. Custer Ave, Pontiac, IL, 61764. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, December 9, 2025, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Pontiac, IL. Burial will follow at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery. Father Robert Rayson will be presiding over her services. Memorials may be made in Theresa’s memory to Livingston County Humane Society. Duffy-Baier-Snedecor Funeral Home is entrusted with her arrangements. Theresa was born on October 20, 1966, in Pontiac, IL, to Robert and Janet (Duffy) Hurt. She married the love of her life, Neil Christopher, on October 19, 1991, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church. He survives in Pontiac, IL. Other survivors include two daughters: Sarah (Payton Miller) Christopher of Iowa City, Iowa, and Erin Christopher of Peoria, IL, one sister: Michelle Whiting of Killeen, TX, and one aunt: Rita Schaefer. She is preceded in death by her parents, and one brother: John Hurt. Theresa was a proud member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church and Starved Rock Yacht Club. Theresa enjoyed boating, shopping, and being around friends and family. She lived life to the fullest, was always there to take care of others, and always had a smile on her face and a positive attitude. Even with the unfair deck of cards Theresa was dealt, she never once let it get her down. She was brave and fought courageously every single day of her life. Above all, she loved her family. She made countless memories with her loved ones that will forever be cherished by them. She truly was the best wife, mom, sister, friend, and niece.
