Theodore "Ted" Jarrett Obituary (1932

Theodore "Ted" Jarrett, Sr., 76, of Pana, passed away on Wednesday, July 15, 2009 at Memorial Medical Center, Springfield. He was born September 20, 1932 in Norwood, MO, the son of Floyd and Nora Holland Jarrett. Ted graduated from Norwood High School and served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He lived in Chicago before coming to Pana in 1999, and retired from Reflectant Hardware Company after 48 years. He loved his children grandchildren, and he enjoyed being involved in their activities. He also liked fishing. Ted was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene, Pana and the Moose Lodge in Elgin, IL. He was an American Red Cross volunteer past member of many other organizations. Ted married Dorothy Welburn on August 3, 1996. She survived in Pana, IL, along with children: Theresa Boerma husband Tom, Eldorado, KS; Theodore "Teddy" Jarrett, Jr. wife B.J., Hartville, MO; Laura Miller husband Jesse, Virden, IL; Karen Mizeur husband Phillip, Oconee, IL; Sally Morrison husband Bill, Nokomis, IL; Toby Sanders wife Suzanna, Pana, IL; and Kenny Sanders wife Darsie, Assumption, IL; 17 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; brothers: Harry Jarrett wife Dorothy, Island Lake, IL Norman Jarrett wife Betty, Mansfield, MO. He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Kevin Jarrett; grandson, Jeremiah Boerma; brothers: Billy Jarrett, Gerald Jarrett, Gene Jarrett. Funeral Information Funeral services will be Saturday, July 18, 2009 in McCracken-Dean Funeral Home at 10:00 a.m. with Rev. Allen Ebbler officiating. Burial will be in Price Cemetery, Oconee with graveside military rites by VFW/American Legion/AmVets Honor Guard, Pana. Friends may call Friday from 5 to 8 p.m. in McCracken-Dean Funeral Home.
