Ted Warren Obituary (1953

"Ted" Richard Theodore Warren, Jr., 70, of Pana, IL passed away on December 9th, 2023, at Barnes Jewish Hospital, St. Louis, MO. He was born January 1st, 1953, in Shelbyville, IL to the late Richard T. Warren Sr. and Virgina Belle (Tusing) Warren. Even though a failing heart took him from this earth, his loving heart left an incredible light. His legacy will live on through many generations. Ted is survived by his beautiful wife, Deborah "Debbie" (Oller) Warren whom he married on July 20th of 1973. They recently celebrated fifty years of marriage. Their strong commitment is an example of everlasting sweethearts. He was a proud father of two daughters: Stephanie (Chad) Brenden and Rhyann (Vernell) Morris. Ted and Debbie also have a daughter by heart, Anne Marie (Dan) Chappelear. He was blessed with eight grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Grandchildren: Paxton (Dalton) Langheim, Ryan (Callie) Brenden, Rex Brenden (in heaven), Amber Fosdyck, Alexis Morris, Elijah Morris, Denton Chappelear and Weston Chappelear. Great Grandchildren: Knox Langheim, Jace Langheim, Lainey Brenden, Nico Brenden, Luna Rogers and Makai Morris. He is survived by siblings: Sharon (Charlie) Jackson, Nolan, TX; Bob (Debbie) Warren, Orange Grove, TX; Ron (Nancy) Warren, Taylorville, IL; and Russ (Jane) Warren, Rustburg, VA. Ted enjoyed early mornings on his boat fishing, gardening, riding his motorcycle, and playing with his beloved dog, Boone. He had an unmatched love for his 'grands and great grands' spending ample time loving his family. Always showing them patience and resilience. He taught his children and grandchildren that moments and memories are more important than anything materialistic. He lived a calm, simple life. His cheerful smile will be missed by the community. Ted was a man of few words, but generous with his time. He graduated from Tower Hill High School in 1971 and went to work for Growmark FS for thirty-seven years. Ted was an active member of the St. Mary's Catholic Church of Assumption, IL, and Pana Moose Lodge 1015. He was a spouse, a father, a papa, a brother, and a wonderful friend. Funeral mass for Ted will be held on Friday, December 15th, 2023, in St. Mary's Catholic Church, Assumption at 2:30pm with Father Joseph Havrilka officiating. A sunset burial will be immediately following mass at Calvary Cemetery, in Pana, IL. The visitation will be held on the same day from 11:00am to 2:30pm in the church. Memorials in Ted's honor may be made to the Sacred Heart School and will be accepted by McCracken-Dean Funeral Home.
