Sylvia K. O'Neal Obituary (1943 - 2017)

Sylvia K. O'Neal, 73, of Flanagan, passed away Sunday, February 26, 2017 at 1:39 a.m. at Flanagan Rehabilitation and Health Care Center in Flanagan, IL. Graveside memorial service will be held Monday, March 6, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Memorial Park Cemetery in Pontiac, IL with Pastor Jane Bradford officiating. Duffy-Baier-Snedecor Funeral Home, Pontiac, is in charge of arrangements. Sylvia was born July 14, 1943 in Bellflower, IL to Earl Mose and Janet Cleo (Collier) Welch. She married Stanley O'Neal on December 9, 1978. He passed away July 5, 2000. She is survived by her children, Tammy L. (Marty) O'Neal of Emington, IL and Janet M. Ventress of Pontiac, IL; one sister, Alora Ford in Melvin, IL; four grandchildren, Teresa A. White, Jamie L. (John) Barlow, Sabrina Hutchins, and Skyler Ventress; and eight great grandchildren. Preceded in death by her parents; husband, Stanley; three brothers, Albert Welch, Danny Welch, and Jimmy Reinitz; one sister, Caroline Heinrich; and one son, Greg Blankenship. Sylvia was a graduate of Flanagan High School and worked cleaning houses and businesses in the Pontiac area. She was Methodist in faith.
