El Paso, Illinois

Susan Anne Vincent, 55, of El Paso, passed away in the early morning of Thursday, December 26, 2024 in the comfort of her own home.

Susie was born March 25, 1969, in Rochelle, Illinois, the daughter of Charles and Carol (Bohl) Mossberg. In 1991, she married the late Dave Ferrenburg, together they had one daughter, Morgan. She later married Randy Vincent on June 13, 2015.

After graduating from Rochelle High School, she attended Illinois State University where she received her Bachelors in Education. Furthering her education she received a Masters Degree from Walden University.

Susie started her career as an Art teacher when the Fieldcrest District was formed and finished her career at Unit 5 where she served many schools, most recently at Chiddix Junior High. She was recognized in 2024 by Illinois State Board of Education for the ‘Those Who Excel’ program for meritorious services.

She loved her students and always tried to provide a place for them to come during the school day where they could be safe and creative. To know Susie was to love her. She was a friend to all. Truly the most generous, loving, and genuine person. She was a bright light for everyone who knows her. She loved spending her summers at the Lake and traveling, going to Cubs and Illini games, hosting parties with the greatest themes, and letting all gather around her table. But most of all, Susie loved her family, and her daughter was her pride and joy.

She is survived by her husband, Randy; mother, Carol Mossberg; daughter, Morgan Ferrenburg; two sisters, Cindy Hayes and Julie (Blaine) Kinsley; aunts, uncles, cousins, and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

She is preceded in death by her father Charles.

Cremation has been entrusted to Calvert-Metzler Memorial Home.

Her memorial visitation will be held from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. Sunday, December 29, 2024 at Calvert & Metzler Memorial Home in Bloomington.
Her memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, December 30, 2024 at Calvert & Metzler Memorial Home in Bloomington.
