Steven S. Schultz

Steven S. Schultz, 52, of Bloomington, passed away at 11:05 p.m. Sunday, October 20, 2019 at the family cabin in St. Germain, Wisconsin.

His funeral will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, October 29, 2019 at Epiphany Catholic Church, Normal. Burial will be at Evergreen Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Monday, October 28, 2019 at Carmody-Flynn Funeral Home, Bloomington.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Miller Park Zoo.

He was born April 2, 1967 in Normal, a son of Melvin D. and Kathryn J. Bartlett Schultz. He was married to Tracy Giesel from 1994-2010.

Surviving are a daughter, Anna Schultz of Bloomington; his parents, Melvin and Kay Schultz of Normal; three siblings, Barb (Richard) Selvy of Quincy, David Schultz of Normal and Kathy Ensenberger of Normal; his former in-laws and dear friends, Loren and Carol Giesel; his nieces and nephews, Andy (Katie) Selvy, Jenny Selvy, Alex Schultz, Hilary (Josh) Houk, Blake Ensenberger, Nick Ensenberger; his great-nieces and nephews, Malachi, Westlynn, Lily and J.D.; and a special cousin, Ron (Linda) Klawitter and their daughter, Kiri.

Steve was a 1985 graduate of Central Catholic High School and attended Parkland College and Illinois State University. He had been employed by Wal-Mart for over thirty years and attended Epiphany Catholic Church in Normal.

Steve was an avid Cubs, Bears and ISU Redbird basketball fan and treasured any time he was able to spend in the northwoods of Wisconsin. He will also be remembered fondly by his large community of online gaming friends.
