Steven Wilderman

Steven L. Wilderman, 70, of Morton, IL passed away Sunday, October 25, 2026 in OSF St. Francis Medical Center, Peoria, IL. He was born June 16, 1956 in Pana, IL to the late Dean & Deanna (Budds) Wilderman.
Steven was a graduate of Warrensburg-Latham High School and worked for Firestone and later as a car salesman. He attended Blessed Sacrament Church in Morton, IL and enjoyed cars, woodworking, drawing, sports, writing poetry, antiques, fishing & baking. He loved animals, especially dogs. His greatest joy was attending his grandkids sporting events and other activities.
Steven married Alice Roth. They had two children and later divorced and she survives.
Steven is survived by his children: Stacy (Tim) Waters, Pittsfield, IL & Todd Wilderman (Pholamina), Morton, IL; grandchildren: Jack Wilderman, Kate Wilderman, Samantha Wilderman, Lucas Waters, T.J. Waters, Tori Waters & Macy Waters and sisters: Melody Hundley, Decatur, IL and Monica (Kevin) Puckett, Pana, IL. He was preceded in death by his parents, Dean Wilderman & Deanna Mizeur and siblings: Debbie Williams, Tom Williams & Debbie Grotfeldt.
A funeral service for Steven will be held on Thursday, October 29, 2026 in McCracken-Dean Funeral Home at 6:00 p.m. Visitation will be Thursday from 4:30 p.m. until service time in the funeral home.
Memorials in Steven’s honor may be made to the Christian County Animal Shelter and will be accepted by McCracken-Dean Funeral Home who is assisting the family.
