Shirley Jean Roush, 93, of Macon, IL passed away on Tuesday, July 18, 2023. A graveside service to honor Shirley's life will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, July 28, 2023 at South Macon Township Cemetery. Dawson & Wikoff Funeral Home, Macon is assisting the family with services. Shirley was born on February 3, 1930 in Decatur, IL, the daughter of Paul Pritts and Mary Elizabeth (Cavanaugh) Pritts. She was a member of Macon United Methodist Church. Shirley lived a long life and had a heart of gold. She never met a stranger and would give the shirt off her back. She loved her flowers, family, leopard print attire, red lipstick, light blue eye shadow, having a cold Coors light over ice at the Finish Line after a race at Macon Speedway, watching cowboy shows with Matt Dillon riding off in the sunset, shopping with her good friend Creta Ater, Macon coffee group and Bunco ladies. Everyone in town loved her and considered her a true gem, they also loved her famous deviled eggs. She will be deeply missed. Shirley is survived by her children: Michael Eugene (Rhonda) Roush of Macon, IL, Sherry Lynette Roush of Decatur, IL; brother: Pete Pritts of Alabama; half-sister: Paulette Marie High of Decatur, IL; daughter-in-law: Roxanne Roush of Decatur, IL; son-in-law: Don Baker of Macon, IL; 12 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, two nieces and two nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, daughter; Jane Ellen Baker, sons: Stan Roush and Steve "Buck" Roush and her great grandson: Kaden Finch.
