Shirley M. Hallock

Shirley M. Hallock, 86, Pontiac, died at 11:30 p.m. Saturday (July 24, 2010) at OSF Saint Francis Medical Center, Peoria.

A private family service will be at a later date, cremation rites have been accorded. Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor's choice. Duffy Funeral Home, Pontiac, is in charge of arrangements.

She was born Aug. 31, 1923, in rural Bloomington, a daughter of Harry L. and Elsie R. Ross March. She married William R. Hallock on Jan. 23, 1943, in Sioux Falls, S.D. He died Feb. 3, 2004.

Survivors include a daughter-in-law, Yvonne Hallock, Pontiac; sisters, Betty Rasco, Bloomington, and Barbara (Donald) Ellenberger, Minneapolis, Minn.; grandchildren, Kristi (Richie) Lindstrom, Farmer City; Kelly Burns, Cornell; and Tyler Hallock, Pontiac; and great-grandchildren, Taylor, Rhianon and Paige Burns.

She was preceded in death by her parents; spouse; one son, Steven T. Hallock; two brothers; and three sisters.

She was a homemaker and worked as a bookkeeper for Schroeder Implement. She was a graduate of Anchor High School, Anchor.
