Sherry A. Byrd Obituary (1965 - 2023)

Sherry A. Byrd, 58, of Farmer City, Illinois, passed away at home on December 26, 2023. A visitation will be Friday January 26, 2024 from 1-2:00 pm with a memorial service following at 2:00 pm all at Farmer City United Methodist Church. Sherry was born on May 23, 1965, a daughter of Nolan and Anna Mae (Ricketts) McKitrick. She is survived by her sons, Wesley (Jasmine) Byrd and Joshua Byrd; daughter, Kelsey (Kaitlin Hickman) Byrd; brother, Rickey (Krista) McKitrick; sister, Sue “Pamela” (Henry) Sutter; and grandchildren, Wesley Byrd Jr., Ilyan, Maryssa, Makayla, Avery, and Zoey Byrd. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, John Byrd. Sherry loved to be out in her garden. She would feed and watch her hummingbirds. Sherry loved arts and crafts and always went by the motto of, “If it is broken it can be fixed.” She was a loving mother, sister, grandmother, and devoted friend who will be deeply missed.
