Setsuko "Shorty" Ade

Setsuko "Shorty" Ade, 81, of Pana passed away Sunday, December 11, 2022 in her home surrounded by family. She was born December 26, 1940 in Sasebo, Japan, daughter of Takeshi & Tsurue Fukumoto. She was a homemaker and worked at Heritage Health-Pana for 10 years.
Shorty married Sam Ade on March 19, 1977 in St. John's United Church of Christ, Pana and he survives, along with their children: Curtis (Michelle) Ade, Fort Worth, TX; Steven (Susan) Ade, Rosamond, IL; Amanda (Brandon) Ade-Harlow, Moweaqua, IL; daughter-in-law, Jill (Mark) Ade-Moore; 10 grandchildren: Savannah & Cheyenne Ade, Blake, Brynn & Blaire Ade, Landon & Alana Harlow, Bryce (Shelby) Ade, Reece (Abbie) Ade, Victoria (Justin) Harvey; great grandchildren: Bowen, Dallas & Ryker Ade and Josephine, Gianna & Logan Ade and siblings: 4 brothers and their families that still reside in Japan. She was preceded in death by her parents and son, Brian Ade on August 4, 2010.
A visitation will be held on Friday, December 16, 2022 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in McCracken-Dean Funeral Home.
Cremation rites will then be accorded.
Memorials in Shorty's honor may be made to Cancer Care Specialists of Central Illinois, Decatur, IL and will be accepted by McCracken-Dean Funeral Home who is assisting the family.
