Scott A. Edwards Obituary (1981 - 2023)

Scott A. Edwards, 42, of Decatur, passed away on Tuesday, November 7, 2023. Scott was born February 11, 1981, in Decatur, Illinois, the son of Albert "Dale" Edwards and Terri (Wilson) Edwards. He graduated from Argenta-Oreana High School before joining the U.S. Navy. Scott was a skilled contractor in Decatur and the surrounding areas. Scott was a loving father and loved spending time with his family. He was a lover of fun and had a beautiful sense of humor. Scott is survived by his daughters, Emily and Katie Edwards, father Dale (Joann) Edwards of Vandalia, mother Terri Edwards of Decatur, brothers, Derrick (Kimberly) Edwards of Arlington, Texas and Kevin (Nicole) Edwards of Harristown, sister Melinda (Jacob) Burnett of White Heath, nieces & nephews, Faith Ginger, Makayla Ginger, Jaxon Burnett, Jonathan Piontek, Sylvia Edwards, Kelly (Cameron) Pfeil, Ian Higgins, and Shane (Stefanie) Higgins, step-siblings Jennifer (Mark) Patzwitz, Sarah (Chris) Thornell, Michelle (Oscar) Crowe, Rachel (Nick) Thornell, and Adrian Kloepping (Crystal Borsch), and many loving aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Services to celebrate Scott's life will be 4:00 PM Saturday, November 11, 2023, at the Dawson & Wikoff North Chapel in Decatur.
