Sarah Jane Crews

Sarah Jane Crews, 87, of Taylorville, IL died at 9:50 pm Wednesday, May 14, 2003 in St. Vincent Memorial Hospital, Taylorville, IL. She was born January 20, 1916 in DeSoto, Illinois, the daughter of Arthur and Bess Gilmore Albon, Sr. On October 14, 1934 she married Garrett B. "Jack" Crews in Murphysboro, Illinois. Mrs. Crews was a homemaker and a member of Taylorville Christian Church.

Surviving is her husband, Jack Crews of Taylorville. Son: Gary Crews and wife Carol of Taylorville and a daughter Carole Ann Young and husband Phil of Murphysboro, IL. 4 Grandchildren: Steve Crews and wife Nita of Waverly, IL; Mike Crews and wife Tracy of Taylorville; Dana Reichert and husband Craig of Springfield, IL and Chad Vogt and wife Billie of Valley Park, MO. 5 Great Grandchildren. Brother: Arthur Albon, Jr. of Ft. Myers, FL. She was preceded in death by her parents, and one grandson, Chuck Vogt.

Memorial services will be at 2:00 pm Monday, May 19, 2003 in McClure Funeral Home, Taylorville, IL with Rev. Richard Wamsley officiating. Visitation will be from 1:00 pm until time of service on Monday. Burial will be in DeSoto Cemetery, DeSoto, IL.
