Sandra Peterson

Sandra A. “Sandy” Peterson 83, of Macon, IL passed away at 5:52 a.m., Thursday, September 24, 2026, in her residence.

A service to honor Sandy’s life will be held at 1:00 p.m., Monday, September 28, 2026, at Calvert & Wikoff Funeral Home, Macon, IL. The family will receive friends for visitation beginning at 11:00 a.m., Monday morning until service time. Burial will be in the Mt. Gilead Cemetery. Sandy was born May 17, 1943, in Decatur, IL the daughter of Charles and Mary (Owens) Clark. She married Earl H. Peterson on September 14, 1963. Sandy had had worked several jobs ending with Dale’s Southlake Pharmacy. She had formerly owned and operated Peterson Vending. Sandy was a member of the Elwin United Methodist Church and was a Sunday school teacher. She was a member of the Macon County Farm Bureau Women’s Club. Sandy was an avid gardener and enjoyed tending to her flower gardens. Her greatest passion was her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Surviving is her husband: Earl of Macon, IL son: Jeff Peterson (Sherry) of Macon, IL; daughter: Michelle Miller (Mike) of Decatur, IL; brother: Roger Clark (Chris) of Decatur, IL; grandchildren: Riley Lingafelter (Zach), Emily Peterson (Lane), Christina Henderson (Blake), Boyd Mathias, Matthew Mathias, Jessica Hiltz, Olivia Hiltz, and Jennifer Hiltz; great-grandchildren: Briggs Lingafelter, Baylor Lingafelter, Lyla Lingafelter, Bodhi Brooks, Tristan Henderson, Jace Henderson, and Ryker Henderson.

Sandy was preceded in death by her parents, daughter: Kim Hiltz, and two sisters: Jackie and Carol.
