Sandra L. "Sandy" Bailey

Sandra L. "Sandy" Bailey, 81, of Rosamond, passed away on Wednesday, February 28, 2018 at Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center, Mattoon. She was born May 26, 1936 in Pana to the late Burke & Rose (Komac) Williams.
Sandy grew up in Pana before moving to Rosamond. She was a graduate of Pana High School, where she loved being a majorette. She was a member of the St. Patrick's Catholic Church, and had helped decorate the church on holidays for many years. Sandy had worked as a florist for various businesses in the Pana area. She enjoyed square dancing, arranging flowers & decorating her home. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and spent the last 4 months in the loving care of the staff at Life's Journey, Pana.
Sandra Williams married William D. Bailey, Jr. on November 24, 1955 in St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Pana. He preceded her in death on October 31, 2017.
She is survived by her children: David (Charlotte) Bailey of Mattoon, IL and Tara (John "Chip") Hodam of Chesterfield, MO; grandchildren: Jenna (Brad) Case, Bryan (Madeleine) Bailey, Chad Bailey, Aaron Hodam, and Nate Hodam; great grandbaby, Hudson Case; and sisters: Marolyne Williams & Carolyne (Jack) Faddis.
Memorials may be made to the Pana Community Hospital Foundation.
Per Sandy's wishes, cremation rites will be accorded and a private family service will be held at a later date.
