Russell "Bud" Handy

Russell "Bud" Handy, 82, of Pana died Wednesday, October 29, 2014 in Heritage Health-Pana.
He was born November 1, 1931 in Greensburg, Kentucky, son of Dennis Clelland Ruby Hatcher Handy. After serving in the U. S. Army, Bud lived in the Springfield area most of his life and had lived in Pana the past two years. He was a U S Mail Contractor and loved dogs and enjoyed riding motorcycles.
Bud is survived by his children: Mark Handy wife Marty and Angela Sue "Suzie" Castle husband Tim, all of Pana, IL; Chris Kallis husband Butch, LaSalle-Peru, IL; 9 grandchildren: Dr. Natalie Campo, Nikki Campo, Chad Donnel, Emily Standerfer, Angela Miller, Christopher Tedeschi, Wes Castle, Donna Kallis, Tyler Castle; 18 great grandchildren; brothers: Gene Handy, Pana, IL and James "Butch" Handy, Springfield, IL; and by his sisters: Betty Fry, Tower Hill, IL; Sue Taylor, Pana, IL; and Shirley Reynolds, Pana, IL.
He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter Dena Campo, and sister Barbara Ann Pease.
Funeral Information

Memorial services will be Monday, November 3, 2014 in McCracken-Dean Funeral Home at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Stan Pratt officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to services. Private inurnment will be at a later date.
