Ronda Morse Obituary (1942

Ronda Carol Morse, 83, of Pontiac, passed away on Saturday, February 15, 2025, at 1:00 a.m. at OSF St. Joseph Medical Center in Bloomington. Her services will be Tuesday, February 25, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at the First United Methodist Church in Pontiac. Officiating will be Rev. Gretchen Stinebaugh. Burial will follow in Graceland Cemetery, Fairbury, IL Visitation will be on Monday, February 24, 2025, from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. at Duffy-Baier-Snedecor Funeral Home in Pontiac Duffy-Baier-Snedecor Funeral Home in Pontiac will be in charge of arrangements. Ronda was born on January 8, 1942, in Fairbury to Edward H. and Ethel E. (Weakman) Rapp. She married Andrew L. Morse on April 30, 1965, in Pontiac. He passed away on May 10, 1982. Surviving is her son, Michael (Brandey) Morse of Pontiac; sister, Marilyn Montgomery of Lincoln; many nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Andrew; brother, James Rapp; sister, Janet Potter; and brother-in-law, Gerald Potter. She was a 1960 graduate of Pontiac Township High School. Ronda was the first woman in the State of Illinois to be an outside plant engineer for GTE, where she was employed for over 35 years. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Pontiac. She loved bowling, traveling, crocheting, reading, going out with friends, and keeping up with her son and daughter-in-law activities. Memorials may be made to the Pontiac Fire Department or to the First United Methodist Church.
