Ronan Joseph Marshall 20, of Dalton City, IL passed away Saturday, March 25, 2023, at 12:42 a.m., in St. Francis Medical Center, Peoria, IL. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, March 30, 2023, at St. Isidore Catholic Church, with Rev. Steven Arisman officiating. A vigil prayer service will be held at 4:30 p.m., Wednesday, March 29, 2023, at Dawson & Wikoff Funeral Home, Mt. Zion with visitation following at the funeral home until 7:00 p.m. Burial will be in Glenwood Cemetery, Shelbyville, IL. Memorials may be made in Ronan's memory to St Jude Children's Research Hospital of Central Illinois or Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Illinois. Messages of condolence may be sent to the family at dawson-wikoff.com. Ronan was born September 12, 2002, in Decatur, IL the son of Joseph Timothy "Tim" and Tammy Marie (Waller) Marshall. Ronan was a 2021 graduate of Mt. Zion High School and had formerly worked for George A. Mueller Beer Distributing and United Prairie LLC. He was a member of the Sons of American Legion Post #86, Kendallville, IN. Ronan attended St. Isidore Catholic Church, as well as, Mt. Pleasant Church of God, Assumption. Surviving are his parents: Tim and Tammy Marshall of Dalton City, IL; brothers: Ross Marshall of Tow, TX and Ryder Marshall (Julia Nees) of Dalton City, IL; sister: Rhiannon Marshall of Dalton City, IL; girlfriend: Taylor Moore of Mt. Zion and her parents: Chad and Mandy Moore; paternal grandfather: Joseph Marshall (Susan) of Mt. Zion; maternal grandmother: Pat Waller of Bourbonnais, IL; niece: Amarie Marshall of Texas and nephew: Jude Marshall of Texas; many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends also survive. Ronan was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother and maternal grandparents. The family wishes to extend special thanks to his care team from St. Jude OSF Peoria, Dr. Mehta, and the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Illinois for the care, comfort and support to Ronan and his family.
