Ronald L. McBeath Obituary (1945

Ronald L. McBeath, 78, of Pontiac, IL, passed away peacefully Wednesday, March 6, 2024, at 10:13 p.m. at OSF HealthCare St. Joseph Medical Center in Bloomington, IL. The visitation will be held on Thursday, March 14, 2024, from 4 p.m.-7 p.m. at Calvert & Martin Funeral Home in Pontiac, IL. Funeral services will follow on Friday, March 15, 2024, at 11 a.m. at First Baptist Church in Pontiac. The burial will take place at Memorial Park Cemetery in rural Pontiac with full military rites. Ronald was born April 27, 1945, in Pontiac, IL, a son of William and Mabel (Womack) McBeath. He married Gayle A. Mathis on July 16, 1983. She survives in Pontiac. Other survivors include: His children: James F. Sharbono of Streator, IL; LaDonna (Eddie) Encinia of Pontiac, IL; and Robert F. McBeath of Anderson, SC His siblings: Brothers Bill (Rosemary) McBeath, Pontiac; Rick (Michelle) McBeath, Pontiac; Steve McBeath, Pontiac; and one sister, Vicki L. McBeath, Pontiac His grandchildren: Ashley Scorby, Sasha Sharbono, Katarina Encinia, Salena Encinia, and Kiana Encinia His great grandchildren: Hadlee Scorby, Damya Farris, Hailey Scorby, Pierre Powell Jr., Armoni Powell, Owen Scorby, Oaklynn Scorby, and Amilliano Encinia His nieces and nephews: Robert “Bobby” McBeath, Dawn McBeath, Kristi McBeath, Elizabeth McBeath, Christopher McBeath, Jake McBeath, Josh McBeath, Hope Cox, Christian McBeath, Jesse McBeath, Samantha Whitcomb, Amanda McBride, and Dylan Marcin His great nieces and nephews: Jillian, Marley, Maddsyn, Maddyn, Ivy Rose, Chloe, Bailey, Cavallin, Theo, Lainey, Karson, Brooke, Jada, Emmalyn, Maddison, and Faith Ronald was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Dorian E. McBeath. He served in the U.S. Army from 1967-1970 and was stationed in Germany. He was an ironworker for Star Erector Company for many years. He was also a member of the Sportsman’s Bowling League as well as a baseball coach. He served as a deacon at First Baptist Church in Pontiac. Ronald loved Jesus with all his heart. He also loved his family and friends dearly, especially his little beloved companion, Daisy. He truly was a man who wore his heart on his sleeve. He will be truly missed and never forgotten.
