Ronald E Hull

Ronald E. Hull 66, of Blue Mound, IL passed away at 3:13 p.m., Tuesday, February 3, 2015, in Decatur Memorial Hospital following an accidental traumatic head injury.

A service to celebrate Ron's life will be held at 6:00 p.m. Friday, February 6, 2015, at Dawson & Wikoff Funeral Home, Blue Mound. The family will receive friends beginning at 5:00 p.m. until service time at the funeral home. Casual attire is requested for Ron's services. Ron was born February 22, 1948, in Galesburg, IL the son of Russell and Jane (Moreland) Hull. He married Trenda C. Downes on June 17, 1967. Ron was a Vietnam War veteran having served his country in the US Army and was a Purple Heart Award recipient. He retired from Caterpillar after thirty five years of service to the company. He was a member of the Bethel United Methodist Church. Ron enjoyed golfing, classic car shows and traveling with his wife, family and friends on Harley Davidson motorcycles. He and his wife are active members of the Decatur HOG chapter.

Surviving is his wife Trenda of Blue Mound; daughter: Lisa Lawyer and her husband Doug of Rogers, AR; son: Jason Hull and his wife Denise of Murphysboro, IL; grandchildren: Corinne Perez and her husband Damon of Rogers, AR, Colbey Lawyer of Rogers, AR, and Jacob Hull of Murphysboro, IL; great-granddaughter: Izabella Perez of Rogers, AR; mother-in-law: Lorene Werve of Decatur; brothers-in-law: Michael Henry of Galesburg, IL and Tronnie Downes and his wife Linda of Mt. Vernon, IL; nieces and nephews: Leslie of Monmouth, IL. Heather and David both of Southern, IL.

He was preceded in death by his father, mother, step-father: George Beadle, sister: Donna Henry, and father-in-law: Jacob Downes.
