Ronald H. Jones, 85, Channahon, IL passed away at 11:39 p.m. on Sunday, May 18, 2025, at his home surrounded by family. Graveside services will be 1 p.m. on Friday, May 23, 2025, at Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Lexington with Pastor Andrew Gerber officiating. Calvert-Johnson & Musselman Memorial Home, Lexington is assisting the family with arrangements. Ronald was born November 9, 1939, in Colfax, IL, the son of Hubert B. and Lorraine Wilson Jones. He married Barbara J. Potter on November 18, 1962, in Bloomington, IL. She survives along with four children Connie (Robert) Stanley of Woodstock, GA, Rhonda (Michael) Orsini of Minooka, Brian (Lisa) Jones of Channahon, and Jackie (Emerson) Grove of Woodstock, GA; two brothers Robert (Fran) Jones of Mt. Zion, Sam (Sharla) Jones of Grapevine, TX, sister Karen Wire of Berrien Springs, MI, and brother-in-law Art Mitchell of Lafayette, IN ; eight grandchildren: Bobby, Dustin, Richelle, Taylor, Kara, Taylor, Zac, and Annistyn; and three great-grandchildren: Kenzie, Trey, and Mileena. He is proceeded in death by two sisters Doris Mitchell and Carol Revelle, one brother George Jones, one sister-in-law Linda Jones; granddaughter Tasha Nelson, and nephew Chad Jones. He was a US Army veteran and a retired Millwright for General Motors Electro-Motive Division in LaGrange, IL. Memorials may be made to Judson Church, Joliet, IL, or an organization of your choosing.
