Roger Ray VanDoren

Roger Ray VanDoren, 79, of Taylorville passed away Tuesday, August 23, 2022 in his home. He was born October 14, 1942 in Fillmore, IL to the late Waldo & Dorothy (Kessinger) VanDoren. Roger married Ella Pearl Forbes and she preceded him in death on March 31, 2022.
Roger worked as a welder and pipefitter for over 40 years and was a member of the Pana Christian Church
Roger is survived by his children: Martin (Sandra) VanDoren, Mattoon, IL; Richard (Christy) VanDoren, Herrin, IL; Gayle Hobbs, Taylorville, IL; Laurie (Ray) Michel, Crossville, TN; Mike VanDoren, Pana, IL; 10 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren and sister, Susie Alexander, Tennessee. He was also preceded in death by his son, Ronald VanDoren and son-in-law, Tim Hobbs.
A private graveside inurnment for both Roger and Ella will be held.
