Roger F. Harweger

Roger F. Harweger age 76 of Bloomington, IL passed away at 1:00 PM on Thursday, April 05, 2018 at his residence. His funeral service will be 3:00 P.M. Tuesday, April 10, 2018 at Calvert & Metzler Memorial Home in Bloomington. The Rev. Jim Warren will be officiating. Visitation will be from 2:00 PM-3:00 PM Tuesday at the memorial home. Burial will be Park Hill Cemetery, Bloomington, IL. The family suggest memorials be made to the American Lung Association or the American Diabetes Association.

Roger was born September 21, 1941 in Cissna Park, IL the son of Roy and Bertha "May" McKinney Harweger.

He married Linda K. Alexander on February 12, 1961 in Bloomington. She passed away on October 25, 2017.

Surviving are his two children, Ginger (James Mixer) Burch of Bloomington, IL,
Clint (Beckie) Harweger of Bloomington, IL, four grandchildren, Denell (Jon Koons) Burch, Cristie Harweger, Blake (Grace Hignite) Harweger, and Caitlyn Harweger, great-grandson, Landon Harweger, 1 brother, William (Sherry) Harweger, 2 sisters, Betty Davis, Edie Ehrhardt, and his sister-in-law, Pat Harweger.

Roger is preceded in death by his parents and his twin brother, Ronald " Ronnie" Harweger.

Roger was a multi-sport athlete at Chenoa High School, Chenoa, IL. He retired from Bridgestone-Firestone, Bloomington, IL in 2001. He was a former member and officer of the Bloomington Moose Lodge and was a 58-year member of the First Christian Church, Bloomington, IL. Roger was well liked by everyone.
