Rodger L. Trimby Obituary (1940 - 2024)

Rodger L. Trimby, 83, of Decatur, IL passed away on Tuesday, April 9, 2024. A service to honor Rodger’s life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, April 19, 2024 at Calvert & Wikoff Funeral Home, Mt. Zion. He will be laid to rest at Macon County Memorial Park, Harristown, IL. Rodger was born on October 16, 1940 in Decatur, IL, the son of Kenneth and Dorothy Trimby. He married Mary J. Sparks on June 2, 1960. Rodger was the owner/operator of Trimby & Son Disposal and Trimby & Son Concrete. He enjoyed golfing and was an avid St. Louis Cardinal Fan. Rodger was a loving husband and father. Rodger is survived by his wife: Mary J. Trimby of Decatur, IL; son: Jeffrey (Annette) Trimby of Decatur, IL; brother: David (Nancy) Trimby; sisters: Jane (Jeff) Warner, Carol (Jerry) Doolin and Kay Mathias; grandsons: Jay (Jill) Trimby and Justin (Mary) Trimby; great granddaughters: Brooklyn, Adalyn, Zoey and Ally .
