Roberta Carson

Roberta Ann Carson, 75 of Bloomington, passed away at 1:43 p.m. Thursday February 20, 2025, at Villas of Holly Brook at Fox Creek in Bloomington.
Roberta was born in Kankakee, Illinois to Milford Frank and Gertrude Lillian (Steen) Nelson. She married Rodger Carson on June 19, 1971. He preceded her in death on September 8, 1994.
She was also preceded in death by her parents and one brother Paul Nelson.
Surviving Roberta are one daughter, Julie Carson; two sons, Michael (Tricia) Carson and Geoffrey (Heather) Carson; one grandchild, Anna Carson; one brother, Don (Espie) Nelson; one cousin, Milford Meredith and several nieces and nephews.
Roberta received her bachelor's degree in Geography from Illinois State University.
Roberta was a talented gardener and enjoyed reading and traveling. She loved her family and will be missed by all who knew her.
Her funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, February 26, 2025 at Calvert & Metzler Memorial Home in Bloomington. Her visitation will be held one hour prior to the funeral.
Her graveside service will follow at Park Hill Cemetery in Bloomington.
