Robert "Bob" Franz

Robert “Bob” E. Franz, 59, of Carlinville, IL, passed away Friday, February 13, 2026, at his residence. Bob was born March 10, 1966, in Lincoln, IL, the son of Kenneth and Patricia (Shankel) Franz.

Surviving is his daughter, Kenzie Franz of Thayer, IL; his sister, Kim (Don) Dugan of Carlinville, IL; his brother, Steve (Sarah) Rogers of Morrisonville, IL; a sister-in-law, Tracy Rogers of Girard, IL; and his two nieces. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Earl and James Rogers.

Bob loved grilling out, especially burgers. He also enjoyed watching NASCAR. He will be remembered for his good humor, his caring attitude, and his love for the people around him. He will be dearly missed.

Per Bob’s wishes, cremation rites have been accorded by Airsman & Calvert Funeral Home in Virden, IL. A graveside service at Virden Cemetery will be held at a later date. Online condolences may be shared with the family at airsmancalvert.com.
