Ricki Obituary (1946 - 2022) - Virden, Illinois

Richelle L. Laughlin, 75 of Virden passed away January 31, 2022 at her home surrounded by her loving family. Richelle "Ricki" Lynn Laughlin was born in Springfield on October 30, 1946 daughter of Juel J. and Cecelia M. (Enrietto) Cacciatori. She married Michael D. Laughlin in Auburn on April 24, 1965 and he preceded her in death on May 5, 2020. Richelle "Ricki" was a full-time mom to her four children, many babysitting kids and grandchildren. When her children were old enough and went to school, she worked at the Virden Elementary School in the Cafeteria where she was able to still be around all of her little ones and made many new little friends. Everyone love Ricki, she was such a kind and caring lady and family was very important to her. If she was out in public, children would come up to her and make sure she saw them and said "Hi" with a big smile. She always remembered their names and loved all their little faces. She was an active member of St. Catherine's Church and most recently Sacred Heart Church in Virden. Ricki is survived by her children Annette (Greg) Reichert, Lawrence M. Laughlin and Michelle (Tim) Miller; grandchildren Ryan (Lora) Harris, Marisa (Jerry) Wheaton, Mason Laughlin, Olivia Laughlin, Ashley Miller, Bradyn Laughlin, Madison Laughlin and Cade Laughlin; 3 great grandchildren Logan K. Gross, Braelyn Wheaton and Asher Michael Harris; siter Janet (Larry) Mohler, Aunt Mary Ann Harris and several nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son Michael A. Laughlin, brothers Jim and Jack Cacciatori and sister Judy Cacciatori. Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11:00 AM on Saturday, February 5, 2022 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Father James Palakudy officiating. Burial will be at Virden Cemetery. Her family will received friends on Saturday, February 5, 2022 from 9-10:30 AM at Airsman & Calvert Funeral Home in Virden. In lieu of flowers, she had requested memorials be made to the Prairie Land Ambulance and they will be received by Airsman & Calvert Funeral Homes, Virden who is honored to be caring for Ricki's family.
