Richard W. Hays

Richard W. Hays, 73 of Bloomington, Illinois passed away on Sunday, September 1, 2024, at Goldwater Care, Bloomington, Illinois.

Cremation rites will be accorded, and a celebration of life will be held at a later date.

Rich was born in Bloomington, Illinois on March 6, 1951, a son of Charles and Florence (Naas) Hays.

He is survived by his children: Todd (Deanna) Hays and Tracy (Robbie) Knorr both of Colfax, Illinois. Also surviving are his grandchildren: Corey, Tristan and Kaden Campbell and Elizabeth and Caleb Hays; along with 3 great grandchildren; his brother and sister: Daniel Hays, Orlando, Florida; and Susan (Stanley) Cooperider, Springfield, Illinois.

Rich worked for Bridgestone for 35 years. He enjoyed fishing and was the kind of person who never knew a stranger. He was a good friend to all who knew him.
