Richard Nance

Richard G. Nance, 79, of Pana passed away Thursday, May 21, 2026, in Pana Health & Rehab. He was born December 19, 1946, in Pana, IL, son of the late Elmer Wilmer & Mary Margaret (Barringer) Nance.
Richard graduated from Tower Hill High School and went on to work at several factories in the area. He enjoyed fishing, driving around sightseeing at state parks, and nature watching.
Richard is survived by his son, Nathan Paul Nance, Chandler, AZ; sisters: Connie Rowcliff (Friend Tom Williams) Tower Hill, IL & Doris (Kyle) Linder, Tower Hill, IL and ex-wife, Karen Nance, Pana, IL with whom he remained good friends.
Funeral services for Richard will be held on Wednesday, May 27, 2026, in Pana Christian Church at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Dave Altman officiating. Burial will be in Linwood Cemetery, Pana. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until time of the service on Wednesday.
Memorials in Richard’s honor may be made to the family and will be accepted by McCracken-Dean Funeral Home who is assisting the family.
