Rhoda M. Berens Obituary (1926

Rhoda Maud Chamberlain Berens, 87, of Pontiac, passed away Saturday, March 22, 2014 at 6:40 a.m. at OSF St. James John W. Albrecht Medical Center in Pontiac. Burial will be held at a later date in Marion, MI. Rhoda was born on May 30, 1926 in Leslie, MI, daughter of Henry J. and Ethel H. (Graves) Breckenridge. She married Floyd M. Chamberlain on September 9, 1943 in Lansing, MI. He passed away on August 13, 2000. She later married George A. Berens on March 15, 2003 in Pontiac, IL. He passed away on February 4, 2008. She is survived by three grandchildren, Jeffrey (Deana) Chamberlain of Marion, MI, Becky (Richard) Nichols of Fairbury, IL, and Patti Payton of Springfield, MO; and 11 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Floyd; second husband, George; one son, Gerald R. Chamberlain; two daughters, Nancy J. Land and Sandy K. Anderson; and one sister, Julie Asch. Rhoda was educated in Lansing, MI schools. She worked as a Home Health Aide at the Oscola County Commission on Aging in Michigan and also for the Tazewell County Nursing Home in Illinois. Rhoda was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Pontiac, IL. Memorials may be made to the family.
