Polly Schott

Polly Schott of Normal, passed away Monday April 6, 2026 at home with loved ones by her side.

Polly was born November 10, 1957 in Bloomington, Illinois, the youngest of four children to Richard and Bernadine Herr.

Polly was a 1975 graduate of Bloomington High School. She married the love of her life, Charles Schott on June 2nd, 1979 in Bloomington.

She is survived by her daughter Katie and granddaughter Morgan, both of Normal; her three siblings, Tom (Patty) Herr of Cincinnati, Ohio, Nancy (Greg) King of Olympia, Washington, and Debbie (Steve) Erickson of Colorado Springs, Colorado; as well as many beloved nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Richard and Bernadine, her husband, Charles, and her daughter, Sarah Schott.

Polly worked at State Farm for over 30 years before retiring from Systems in 2013. Caregiving came naturally to her—she dedicated her life to supporting others, and spent her retirement caring for her husband until his passing in 2025.

Her warm heart and joyful spirit enriched the lives of many. Polly's kindness and compassion touched countless people, leaving treasured memories for all who knew her. The emptiness in our hearts is immense, and she will be missed deeply.

Per her wishes, there will be no service.
